In the previous HGL post, I mentioned a thread started by Cellwind, (apparently) a core engine programmer from Flagship.
One of the posts in that thread actually got a little off-topic, but like his other posts thus far, Cellwind delivered a ray of light for those suffering from disappearing party members.
The particular bug is apparently related to the holiday event content, and it is suggested that you remove all recipes and recipe items from your inventory to prevent you or your party members from disappearing.
