For those of you wanting a WoW-style combat log window, you're out of luck. The decision's been made that at this stage it doesn't add very much to the game aside from clutter, and considering the current state of the chat windows you might just have to agree.
However, Ivan followed that up by saying there is a possibility of over-the-head damage numbers, as this is still under consideration by the designers.
